Total Cholesterol vs. HDL Cholesterol

How Cholesterol Units Affect the Calculation
In America, results for cholesterol are generally in mg/dL. However, on occasions cholesterol is reported using mmol/L by overseas laboratories. The calculator will need to adhere to the units for which its internal calculations expect. If conversion is necessary it is best performed before entering into the calculator, rather than mixing units in a single calculation.
What a Risk Percentage Means
